All right, new journal…because it’s now 19 Jan and so far beyond 3 hours till New Year. Well things have been going pretty well. My classes are great this quarter, oh yes. I’ve just been sick this past week or so and it blows. However, now I think I’m finally getting over it. I thought I’d tossed it Saturday but then it attacked me again on Sunday.-.-

Speaking of Saturday. We have a new coyote at the wildlife center. For those of you on my MySpace page, I'll be uploading his pictures soon and possibly some video.

Anyways. I’ve started too look internally again for art expression, lol. I’m trying not to rely on role-playing anymore for an outlet since I’m almost always disappointed with those. I’m writing a little short story now about an owl and his friends^^ Hopefully that’ll go well and I won’t abandon it like I did all my other works. I want to write something for Friedrich, too! Getting back into drawing should be added to the list of things-to-do, too.

Ok, I just wanted to bump my last journal, really.

OH! And check this out:

:iconraephen: made it for me! :D (For those of you who needed the visual, that’s the guy the fanfic in my gallery is about, heh).

And one more thing. This has to be one of the best stamps ever and I am SO GLAD someone else shares my opinion on this:

I mean, I'm sorry to all the anime artists out there but...anime wings are HIDEOUS. I don't give a darn how stylized they're supposed to be. They're......absolutely pointless to me.

2009. ETA: 3 Hours.

Aighty, so here comes 2009. Man I am so ready for it. 2008 has been a weird, weird year. I honestly can’t make up my mind. I started attending UCD in January of 2008, which was awesome. But, I was so exhausted and stressed out I ended up developing an annoying case of anxiety that’s been plaguing me this entire year. (Luckily, I think I’m finally getting over it.)

There’s been a crapload of drama here on my end in addition to all that other crap. I’ve seen two friendships ruined in the process. Again, though, with 2009 right around the corner, it looks like we might finally be able to put everyone in the same room once more *phew*.

On a positive note, I completed my third quarter at UC Davis and did much better than I did the first two quarters. This past year or so, I destroyed my GPA and now I’m ready to begin the slow process of hauling it back up above the 3.5 bar where it belongs. I always took my grades for granted, never really needing to study. For a time there I grew indifferent to my grades, too. Nevertheless, I’m back to caring. So, time to get ‘em up.

So, with all that in mind, I’d say 2008 was a pretty fugly-neutral year with a lot of bad moments punctuated with some good. The Dark Knight had a huge role in the ‘good’ departmet.

What about 2009, then?

I fully intend to finish 2009 with a significantly higher GPA and to balance my personal life better than I did in 2008. I plan to update dA on a more regular basis, too. I enjoy drawing as a hobby, but it feels like a neglected hobby at the moment. (Doodling all those batkitties helped rekindle some of my inspiration…I think). Also, I think loosing my imagination in a more constructive fashion will help temper any restless frustration. Oh oh oh and, of course, I intend to better budget myself! I want to get back to being comfortable financially, so I can have a comfy pillow when I finally move out…

I wish myself luck:giggle: as well as all of you. I hope you’ve all picked out practical resolutions for yourselves and reach them!

A special thanks to :iconxizix: for buying me a subscription! :glomp:

PS: As some of you may have noticed, I’m going stamp crazy XD. Oh well.

PPS: Someone needs to make a Thomas Kretschmann stamp!!!

PPPS: I made a MySpace page O.o

STAMPS!!

Ok, my last deviation submission was exactly 3 months ago today. This is no good.

I haven't done anything artistic aside from doodles atop my genetics lecture notes and even those aren't halfway-decent/worth posting anywhere. Guess that's what happens when you start ACTUALLY paying attention during class. After getting my ass kicked my first two quarters at UCD I'd decided to get back into the swing of things. So far I'm doing well...A's and B's on everything...except for one class which is pissing me off because of all these stupid-sh*t mistakes. You know how it is. A little point here and a little point there... *sigh* Oh well. I have two more days of lecture left after today. Then 3 days of Finals. Then I'm free until January 5.

I fully intend to take advantage of this coming gap between the quarters, too. Hang out with friends, see some MOVIES(Defiance and Valkyrie are coming out :excited:), do a lot of RPing and actually DRAW something. I'm going to start going through withdrawal here soon. I haven't even given art a THOUGHT over the past 3 months and now that I am... I miss it:(.

Anyways, that's where I've been. Classesclassesclasses. Though over the course of the quarter I founda new, great RP partner:D and have gone back to RPing over MSN, nice, short, relaxed posts. I will return to the dA chats for RPing, though. I intend to do more in at least two new-ish rooms:nod:

Speaking of which, you should all check out: #SoulRepoRp.

Ok, well I had more to say so I'll probably end up editing this journal again, but alas...I'm in the campus library and my next class beckons...or rather...advertises its needs through a flourish of neon plumage and flattering chirps...>.> Yeah, it's my bird-sci class, can you guess?

PS: :w00t: Tis the season! Oh no, oh crap I'm feeling the need for seasonal art X.x............. Nein..finals...approach...must..resist....

Fan Fiction. Yep, you’re not seeing things. Toger has submitted a piece of fan fiction for the movie S.W.A.T. I intend to submit some more, too—two more chapters worth ^w^-- but I’ll do that a little later probably. I originally submitted it [Going Wrong, ch.1] back in 2004 on FanFiction.net and wrote about half a page into the second chapter the next day. However, after that I didn’t touch it again until earlier 2008 XDD… Talk about a gap, eh? You can definitely see it in the writing, heh heh.

Anyways, I just wanted to give you all a heads up about it and ask that—those of you who are interested in the movie or whatnot—you please read and review/comment! You know that’s beginning to be my biggest pet-peeve these days. People who fave and don’t comment :\--not that I’m expecting any favorites on at least the first chapter XD.

Let’s see, what else? Oh yes, I’ve been doing some more panda-pictures for my friend’s company [The Printed Otakus—she makes T-shirts and other items for otakus!]. I’ll be submitting those soon, as well. *wants to expand her gallery a little more, can you tell?* For those of you in the Sacramento area, she’s going to have a table (I think) at Sac Anime this weekend.

Oh and I finally finished reading Breaking Dawn—a few days ago, but hey, I can update late. I must admit, the fourth book in the series was so much better—to me—than the first three. I could not STAND Bella in the first three, but after the first part of the fourth*, I finally found her to be tolerable and actually enjoyable, lol.

*I’d originally purchased Breaking Dawn the night of its release, but returned it after reading the first few chapters. I was way too annoyed with the turn it took. I picked it up again, though a few days ago and finally got past that to finish it.

Unfortunately, this all came about in the midst of my RPing in BeastsRUsRP so I was suddenly distracted from those RPs with the desire to RP with Friedrich XD. I’m glad, though. I found two rooms (Twilight RP rooms) that are actually interesting and a few RPers who can actually write more than one typo-filled line. I dunno, I’ve grown so tired of ‘big posts’, of feeling forced to write a lot. This is the same reason I don’t really draw for other people. The feeling that they’re expecting it of me, whether it be art or written work, seems to just totally kill my mood and inspiration. :\ *sighs*

It’s starting to come back, though. I’ve been watching the second season of Heroes and it’s re-inspiring me, giving my mind a break—hence posting the S.W.A.T. fan-fiction. *grumbles* I’ve been trying to find the 6th season of The Shield on DVD, though X.x… the local Hollywood video doesn’t have it…nor does the closet Blockbuster…………>.> *wants to watch it before the last season comes out!!!*

Well, ok, I think I’ve blabbed enough. I just wanted to write something in the journal, heh heh… By the way, if anyone is interested in a Twilight-themed RP, drop me a note!:D
